Our Aim

Every journey into yoga begins differently. Some arrive through āsana, others through devotion, the breath, or a longing to understand themselves  Though the paths appear different, they all lead towards the same inquiry: What is my true purpose?

At Saraswatya Yoga, we honour this journey by making the wisdom of the Indian tradition accessible through authentic practice and thoughtful study. Rooted in the teachings of the Vedas and the classical yogic traditions, our aim is to bridge ancient wisdom with modern life while nurturing a community of sincere practitioners and yoga teachers who embrace yoga not merely as exercise, but as a path of understanding, self-inquiry, and inner transformation.

Meet our founder

Kavya Jain is the founder of Saraswatya Yoga and a yoga educator based in Delhi, India. Her journey into yoga began not in a studio, but while travelling across India after graduation, a search that eventually led her to the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala in 2019. There, she spent two months living as a Karma Yogi, immersing herself in the discipline of traditional Hatha Yoga and the study of the Bhagavad Gītā.

Driven by a desire to understand yoga in both its traditional and contemporary contexts, Kavya continued her education through studies in Yoga Anatomy, Somatics, Ayurveda, and Vinyasa Yoga with teachers across Rishikesh and South India. Her exploration eventually brought her to the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, where she undertook an intensive study of Yoga Philosophy and Prāṇāyāma, deepening her appreciation of yoga as a healing modality.

Seeking the living tradition behind the scriptures, Kavya found her lineage in the teachings of Swami Dayananda Saraswati through the Arsha Vidya tradition. She continues to study Advaita Vedānta, Sanskrit, and Vedic Chanting under her teachers, allowing these timeless teachings to continually shape both her understanding and her approach to teaching.

Today, her work reflects the meeting point of classical yogic wisdom and modern understanding. Drawing from traditional Hatha Yoga, yoga philosophy, and contemporary movement science, she creates thoughtful, individualized practices that support healing, resilience, and self-discovery.
